Dina is Imam's 15-year-old sister.
Ben has known her since 2011.
She is attending the first form of the SMA.
She is a good student.
She lives in poverty with her parents, who have a little income, having hardly any money to make their daugther Dina study. Therefore the Johanna Foundation is paying by the monthly tuition fee of Rp 500,000 (some € 35,-).
Furniture of many Balinese mostly consists of one or to beds, also serving as a couch or a chair. Ben Suzenaar has enabled Astini and Widi's parents some chairs. So they too receive an annual allowance of € 50,- as a personal gift from Ben.
Like so many Balinese Dina's parents have a reasonable stone house. The houses though are mostly very small and there is no money to furnish the house. When Ben first came to Imam's house, he slept on a grass mat. A bed could not be fitted into the room where he slept, therefore Ben bought him a mattress at the time. The furnoture in the living-room often consists of two beds, also serving as a coach and a chair. Ben Suzenaar made it possible for Dina en Imam's parents to buy some chairs. So they too receive an annual allowance of € 50,- as a personal gift from Ben.
