Imam
Ben met a Javanese waiter in a restaurant in Yogyakarta
in 2010. Every day Ben was having dinner there he was
being served by this waiter in a charming and
spontaneous manner. The last night of Ben's holiday
he was having dinner with a couple of friends at the
restaurant. They were talking about Widi and Ajus
among other things with whom Ben was corresponding in Bali.
After a year of corresponding with Imam, Ben invited him during his vacation in 2011 to
make the acquaintance of Widi and Ajus. The three were getting on fine and became
friends.
And because Imam as a waiter in a restaurant only earned a modest income the
Johanna Foundation
decided to support him financially so that he could finish his studies.
